I really like these boots: they protect your feet, stay on in the waves and are flexible and grippy.
The only thing that’s tricky about them (apart from the price) is getting the right size. I take a UK 11 ½ trainer (Asics), which claims to be 30 cm / Euro 47 / US 12 ½. This seems quite variable by brand and type of shoe. I buy formal shoes in anything from a 44 to a 46 EU.
Standing on a ruler with my heel and the end of the ruler against the wall, my feet measure almost exactly 28 cm.
According to the centimetre-based size-guide from Rip Curl Size (below), I need a 13. When they arrived, however, the 13s were far too big – almost two centimetres too long in the toe.

Rip Curl were happy to swap them for a pair of 12s, which fit me well with a tiny bit of room (1 mm?) in the toe of my smaller foot.
I had wondered about going smaller (down to an 11) to get a snug fit, but I’m glad I didn’t.
So now you know.
Hope this is useful to someone! Please post a comment if you can share a similar centimeter-to-boot size conversion that fitted well.
